International Crochet Day

This little Kitty is looking for a new home!

To celebrate International Crochet Day on the 12th of September, this little kitten is looking for a good home. Shes fully house-trained, cute, affectionate and she has been practising her Irish Crochet Lace. She'll even hold your hook for you...

To be in with a chance to woo this lovely lady, just leave a message. Any kind of message, preferably something to do with crochet but we wont restrict you too much. We Irish are fond of an old story, so anything goes, (no rudeness please!!)...

As its International Crochet Day, will post international!!

The pattern for this Crochet Kitten Hook Holder came from Crochet Kitten, check out her website, and her other lovely patterns

The competition is going to be left open until Saturday 9 pm GMT, just to make sure we catch everyone time-wise. Thanks to everyone who has entered so far, and Selena K, your patterns deserve all the plugging they can get, they are very well written and easy to follow, not to mention very very cute...

That Kitty is just wonderful!
But.. not to quibble, and I'd love to have two days to crochet but I keep reading elsewhere that ICD is September 12.

I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do for the day just yet, I've no children around to teach. Maybe I'll work on any of the charity projects I've signed up for.

Public crocheting and charity work in public - what could be better?

Maybe I'll just take both days!

What an adorable kitty! wow!

I'll be crocheting in public, probably either the library or the local park, but I'm considering other venues, as well. Will of course be sporting my crochet cap and fingerless gloves, as well as my crochet hook case and whatever else I can think of! I'm working on an afghan for my mother, whose husband died this year.

You did an awesome job on that kitten! This was one of the first patterns I found when I started crocheting and I thought that I might make it, but I haven't gotten around to it.

I'm excited about tomorrow! I can't wait to break out the hook in public. *hook salute*
