I finally got up to the exhibition in Dublin. I am still recovering from the shock and awe of a gallery full to the brim with crochet, with people talking about crochet, with people actually crocheting!! My God, Ireland has changed in the past few years. Not that long ago, in The
Crochet Liberation Front Book One, I wrote an article about how little crochet there was in Ireland, and how it was a revelation to hear about such crochet groups as the
CLF, to be able to talk to someone else about crochet.
It is going to take me a while to get my photos together. I took a lot! I am going to do a few every other night, but here's a few
sneakies....
WoW! They are gorgeous! Love the colours and since I crochet (and don't knit at all) I can appreciate how much time went into it. Excellent job...
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI never thought that crochet was so popular in Ireland!
Thanks for the update :D
Love it! You do know you are part of the reason crochet is getting more popular here. You really are the equivalent of the fearless leader here in Ireland :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comments!! The reception to the Reef in Ireland has just been fantastic from day 1.
ReplyDeleteBionicLaura, I think fearless leader are too big shoes for me to fit into, it's more loudmouth, obsessive minion...
Your pictures of the coral reef exhibition are stunning!!
ReplyDeleteTotally incredible. Elyn
